Purpose of the Position

To ensure the quality and compliance of concrete used in projects by conducting timely preparation, testing, and documentation of concrete cube samples. The role supports the QA/QC team by providing accurate test results, maintaining complete records, and upholding laboratory standards, thereby ensuring construction materials meet required specifications and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

a) Inspect and prepare concrete cubes for crushing tests.

b) Update all records related to cube tags, cube crushing, test results, and in/out schedules on the notice board.

c) Compile all cube crushing data and result summaries (Concrete Poor Record/CPR) promptly, and submit to the QA/QC Technician & QA/QC Engineer for verification and submission to management.

d) Maintain proper filing of all laboratory documents.

e) Perform any other duties as directed or assigned from time to time.

Education Requirement

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of concrete materials and laboratory testing procedures is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of quality control concepts (sieve test, curing process, etc.)
  • Familiar with QAQC documentation and test record-keeping
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to understand technical data and materials specifications
  • Knowledge of standards (CREAM, CERTBUILD, ISO 9001) is a plus
