About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and proactive Software Engineering Intern with a strong interest in backend development using .NET Core. You will work closely with our engineering team to design, build, test, and improve enterprise-level applications, APIs, and internal systems.

This internship offers real-world development experience, exposure to modern software engineering practices, and opportunities to contribute to live production projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining applications using .NET Core, C#, and related technologies.
  • Participate in API design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Work with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Support debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and sprint activities.
  • Assist in integrating third-party services, APIs, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, UI/UX, Product) to deliver high-quality features.
  • Learn and adopt best practices in software engineering, DevOps, and version control (Git).

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Basic understanding of C#, .NET Core, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and web application architecture.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL queries, schemas).
  • Experience with Git or version control systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

  • Experience with Entity Framework Core, LINQ.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, or frontend frameworks.
  • Understanding of Docker, CI/CD, or cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes.
