Key Responsibilities

  • Process Operation & Optimization: Manage the daily operation and monitoring of the NMP purification system (distillation, evaporation, adsorption, etc.). Continuously optimize process parameters to improve product purity, recovery rate, and energy efficiency.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Conduct in-depth analysis and resolve technical issues during production, such as failure to meet purity specifications, low equipment efficiency, and process fluctuations, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Equipment Management & Maintenance: Oversee the regular maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of purification-related equipment (distillation columns, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, etc.). Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure long-term system reliability.
  • Quality Control: Strictly monitor the quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure purified NMP meets internal and customer standards.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, update, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), equipment maintenance records, and technical analysis reports. Strictly adhere to and promote EHS standards to ensure all operations comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Project Support: Assist in new equipment selection, technical upgrade projects, and the commissioning of new processes and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Education & Major: Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Petrochemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Experience: o Must have hands-on experience in solvent recovery or purification, with proficiency in unit operations such as distillation, thin-film evaporation, and molecular sieve adsorption. o Strongly Preferred:
  • Direct experience with NMP purification projects. Candidates without direct NMP experience must have experience purifying similar high-boiling-point, strong-polarity solvents (e.g., DMF, DMSO).
  • In-depth knowledge of NMP's physicochemical properties, safe handling procedures, and its application standards in industries like lithium-ion batteries and polymers.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Proficient in operating core chemical equipment like distillation columns, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, and valves.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin, English & Malay: Able to communicate in English and Malay are required for necessary administrative tasks, government liaison, and communication with local suppliers
