Recruitment Requirement: STS After-Sales Service Engineer – Malaysia

  1. Position Title

After-Sales Service Engineer

  1. Work Location

Johor or Port Klang, or otherwhere Malaysia

Short-term travel or on-site assignment at port project sites may be required depending on project needs.

  1. Key Responsibilities

-

Commissioning & Maintenance

Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and functional testing of Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes and related port machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.

-

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

Independently perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, providing efficient technical solutions to customers.

Customer Service & Communication

Act as the company's on-site technical representative at the port, maintaining good communication with clients and reporting on equipment performance and service progress.

Preventive Maintenance & Training

Develop preventive maintenance plans for on-site equipment and provide maintenance training and guidance to customers and operators.

-

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare maintenance logs, service reports, spare parts usage records, and technical documents to ensure all information is complete and traceable.

Safety & Quality Compliance

Strictly comply with company and port EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations, ensuring all activities meet local safety and quality standards.

-

Diploma or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.

  1. Experience

-

Minimum 2 years of experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of STS/RTG/RMG cranes, heavy machinery, or port equipment.

Familiarity with port operation environments and safety standards is preferred.

  1. Technical Skills

-

Proficient in PLC control systems (e.g., Siemens, ABB, etc.).

-

Good understanding of electrical wiring, drive systems, hydraulics, and mechanical structures.

-

Capable of independently completing equipment commissioning and troubleshooting.

  1. Language & Communication

-

Good command of spoken and written English.

-

Able to prepare technical reports in English.

  1. Personal Attributes

Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and customer service awareness.

-

Able to work under pressure, with flexibility for overtime, short-term on-site duties, and shift arrangements.

  1. Mobility

-

Willing to travel within Malaysia or to other Southeast Asian project sites for short-term assignments.
