Position: Accountant

Salary Package: RM 8,000-RM 10,000

Working Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor

Working Days: 5 days (Monday - Friday)

Working Hours: 8.00 AM to 6.00 PM

Job Descriptions:

Maintenance

  • Maintain the general ledger system, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, and prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and adjustments Accounts Reconciliation
  • Perform periodic account reconciliations to guarantee financial data accuracy, identify and resolve general ledger discrepancies, and maintain data integrity. Financial Reporting
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports, including management and statutory requirements, and provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making and audit purposes Month-End and Year-End Close
  • Contribute to the financial close process by preparing and reviewing closing entries and adjustments, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported on a monthly and annual basis Compliance: Audit and Tax
  • Guarantee compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, and provide audit and tax support, including preparation of documentation and explanations for corporate tax, and external audits Process Improvement
  • Analyze and optimize financial reporting and general ledger maintenance processes, implementing improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards and policies Collaboration
  • Collaborate with support teams, such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and operational teams to provide accurate and timely financial information and support business decision-making Manage inventory cycle counts on a monthly and yearly basis, and oversee financial performance tracking and analysis, including:
  • Statistical reporting and analysis
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Update the company's cash flow daily
  • Income and expense monitoring and analysis
  • Preparation of management and statutory reports for subsidiaries

Others

Perform general administrative tasks

Perform other ad-hoc tasks as and when required

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting with professional qualification preferred or ACCA and its equivalents

-Good working knowledge of IFRS

-2-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role

-At least 2 years of prior experience in audit and corporate accounting

-Familiar with financial reporting

-Proficiency in XERO, AUTOCOUNT, and SQL systems is a plus.

-Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

-Objectives and deadlines independently

-Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Highly motivated and disciplined self-starter with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

-Based in Johor Bahru at Pasir Gudang Factory

-Minimal travel required to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore
