Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team for a large-scale Steel Structure Project for a Data Center. The position is a 15-month contract role based at the project site in Selangor. The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in managing, monitoring, and coordinating all project activities from factory fabrication to site installation, ensuring timely progress and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in overseeing daily site operations and project progress.
  • Plan and organize site arrangements, manpower scheduling, and work sequencing.
  • Supervise and monitor subcontractor work performance and quality at site.
  • Liaise with Project Manager at factory for fabrication status, delivery schedule, and logistics planning.
  • Review and interpret AutoCAD and structural drawings for site execution.
  • Coordinate with logistics team for transportation and delivery to site.
  • Work with site safety team to ensure all permits and safety documents are approved before work starts.
  • Prepare daily/weekly site reports and highlight potential risks or delays.
  • Attend site meetings and ensure alignment between site, factory, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 5–8 years' experience in steel structure or civil construction projects.

  • Experience in data center or industrial building projects is an advantage.

  • Skills:

  • Able to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings and technical plans.

  • Strong coordination, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiar with project scheduling, site arrangement, and progress control.

  • Other Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work full-time at project site in Selangor.

  • Able to travel to subcontractor factories when required.
  • Committed to complete the full 15-month contract.
