Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Registered IOW with Board of Engineers, Malaysia
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Good command of spoken & written English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Must be Computer literate
  • Required: Registered with CIDB
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical & Electrical drawings and other trade drawings.
  • Work 5.5 days basing at site; Possess own transportation.
  • Ability to coordinate with Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • To assist in Pre-and Post-Inspection of Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical & Electrical Works of a precast highrise / factory project. To supervise and verify the site installations and to ensure that the installations are in accordance with the approval drawings and specifications. To witness all tests on materials supplied to site.
  • To attend site meetings where required. Liaise with project team members, including contractors, sub-contractors and authorities on all site matters and interfacing works.
  • To carry out handover procedures & ensure compliance with contract documents and construction regulations
  • To ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with the site safety standard
  • Shall adhere to the site instructions and any other relevant directives, to ensure that they are taken into account during inspection.
  • To regularly report to the HQ on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered such as defective, non-conforming or delayed works.
  • To keep and to control all relevant forms, documents, correspondence and records in respect of the progress of works.
