Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur for a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager will oversee and manage procurement activities, develop and maintain supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost efficiency and high-quality materials. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, creating purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and collaborating with other departments to forecast procurement needs. The role also involves analyzing market trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills
  • Experience in inventory management and procurement planning
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities to evaluate market trends and supplier performance
  • Proficiency in ERP software, supply chain management tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent would be an advantage
