Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker/Chef with professional experience to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked delicacies, ensuring high quality, consistency, and creativity. This role requires a strong understanding of baking techniques, excellent time management, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods according to recipes and standards.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal items to keep the menu fresh and innovative.
  • Monitor inventory and order baking ingredients as needed.
  • Ensure all baked goods are prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation process, baking times, and temperature control to ensure consistency.
  • Train and supervise junior baking staff or assistants, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules with overall meal service.
  • Manage time effectively to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Chinese Speaking Preferred
  • The candidate should have a diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of (2) years of professional baking or culinary experience.
  • Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes and create high-quality baked goods consistently.
  • The candidate should demonstrate creativity in decorating, flavor pairing, and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy bags of flour or other supplies.
  • Able to works on weekends and public holidays (can work flexible hours).
  • Culinary school or baking certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have valid Typhoid &Food Handlers Certificate.
