Corporate Internal Auditor

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Corporate Internal Auditor.

Huntsman Corporate Internal Audit practices generally conform with the Global Internal Audit Standards and adopts innovative and leading practices. As part of the Asia Corporate Internal Audit team based in Petaling Jaya, you will perform and/or lead various financial and operational audits both regionally or globally. The role gives a unique insight into how the business operates internationally across all functions. This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a Corporate Internal Auditor you will:

Review the internal controls in place within various operational and financial processes and determine the adequacy and effectiveness of internal procedures and controls

Identify risks throughout critical processes and systems and assess the mitigating controls in place within the organization

Evaluate compliance with corporate policies & procedures, laws and regulations mainly the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

Assess the reliability and integrity of the disclosed financial information and support the accuracy of financial reporting according to US GAAP

Participate in ad-hoc special projects and investigations

May require up to 30% of travelling, regionally

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

Degree in Accountancy/Finance, professional certifications or related discipline

3-4 years' experience in internal/external audit within a public accounting firm or large organization

Ability to understand process flows, challenge the set up and identify weaknesses

Excellent reporting and communication skills in English

Strong analytical and persuasive skills and comfortable in communicating with all levels of Management

Knowledge of SAP is an asset

Knowledge of Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX) and understanding of US GAAP requirements is an added advantage

Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment.

Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success
