Engineering Director

Drive and manage manufacturing, providing innovative solutions for projects across a wide range of consumer electronics products.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our manufacturing engineering organization and drive operational excellence across a wide range of consumer electronics products. This is a pivotal leadership role for a technical and strategic leader who ensures a seamless transition from design to manufacturing, bridging cross-functional teams to optimize cost, efficiency, and quality.

The Job Role:

  • Lead a team of Engineers and provide overall direction of assigned projects with latest technology innovation and concepts
  • Optimize SMT/PCB assembly and production processes, improve yield, and reduce costs.
  • Actively seek and drive development of new products or technologies and improve existing products
  • Identify cost effective raw material options and develop cost containment strategies
  • Manage the development of products, processes, sample/ prototype development and final product
  • Work to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Responsible for driving and seeing high priority projects to completion
  • Ensure appropriate project management, monitoring and regular follow up

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in product development and manufacturing within the electronics industry
  • Strong track record of process optimization, NPI leadership, and cross-functional collaboration
  • In-depth knowledge of SMT, PCB assembly, and relevant quality and compliance standards
  • Strategic thinker with solid business acumen, strong problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Independent, hands-on, and results-driven
  • Willingness to travel as required
