As an
Associate Cloud Operations Enginee
r you will be tasked with delivering automation, code, application stability consulting for Dominos eCommerce Public Cloud platforms globally. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and availability of our production cloud solutions that guide the success and profitability of the DPE Group. It can be classified into three main pillars: Site Reliability Engineering, Support and DevOps.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify the root cause of problems before they have a major impact upon
  • business process and communicate these with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
  • Introduce Automation reduce the reliance on manual intervention for tasks via creation of tools, pipelines, scripting and workflows.
  • Actively participate in our left shifting strategy via new tools, automations,
  • processes and self-service functions to empower business units and other IT Teams.
  • Delivery of stable and performant applications and cloud operations practices.
  • Provide effective monitoring of the commerce platform and internal
  • applications.
  • Be actively involved in developing and optimising processes to create efficiencies in daily BAU activities.
  • Ownership of issues and drive to completion
  • Reporting on key technology platform metrics to management
  • Create and maintain good working relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Manage business stakeholder expectations through clear and accurate communication.
  • Ensure training materials and technical documentation on new and/or existing features are kept up to date.
  • Cross train peers, provide guides and technical documentation for other support teams.
  • Collaborate with Technology team members within your team and across other teams to deliver outstanding results for our business stakeholders.
  • Actively participate within the practice of Global Technical Services and contribute to the continual improvement of the practice.
  • Participation and contribution to our Agile Way of Working.
  • Document, and track issues and the reasonable steps taken.
  • Perform daily application releases to both online and internal systems with clear communication to stakeholders on status of changes.
  • Assist with analysis of the current IT environment and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide After-Hours Support (within a roster).

Qualifications
:


• 2-3 years' experience in an
Online Systems/ Web Application/Operations Support/
Software Development role.


• ITIL Foundations preferred.


• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology preferred.


• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and Public Cloud

services (experience with Azure or AWS is required).


• MSSQL experience and T-SQL query language; exposure to NoSQL is a

plus.


• A working understanding of PowerShell/ Python or equivalent scripting

language.


• Experience with Observability tools, Synthetics, APM Monitoring, alerting

and dashboarding.


• Strong grasp of Automation toolsets.


• Exposure to containerization / Kubernetes.


• A working understanding of GIT and Repository use.


• Knowledge of best practices and IT Operations in an always-up, always

available service offering.


• Exposure to Microsoft software development technologies - .NET.


• Exposure to SDLC practices.


• Driven Individual, positive attitudes and ability to self-learn.


• Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to

manage multiple deadlines.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet tight deadlines.


• Knowledge of Point of Sale, Retail Operations.


• Jira/ Atlassian exposure.
