We are looking for highly diligent candidates with excellent attention to detail for the role of Quality Assurance and Control manager. He or she shall be responsible for monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality, engaging with customers, and gathering product feedback, among other duties.

This is an important position and will need the candidate(s) to be highly conscientious and responsible worker to achieve the Company's quality goals and objectives

Quality Assurance & Control Manager Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities

## Quality Management Systems (QMS) & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and all relevant quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Objectives, Quality Management System, SOPs, and documentation in line with ISO 9001 and UN Product Certification requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits; ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Establish corporate QA systems, quality programs, and continuous improvement activities.

## Quality Control & Assurance Operations

  • Oversee daily QC/QA operations, ensuring strict adherence to quality procedures and inspection standards.
  • Ensure all measuring tools, equipment, and instruments are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Lead QC/QA activities for the Control Room facility related to medical and food packaging.

## Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Manage and resolve customer complaints, product rejects, and repairs through effective root cause analysis and cross-functional coordination.
  • Liaise with customers' auditors and ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Drive quality awareness and a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.

## Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, supervise, and train QC/QA personnel to ensure high performance and competency.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, evaluation, and development of subordinates.
  • Promote teamwork and lead quality improvement teams (Kaizen, PDCA initiatives).

## Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse internal and external risks throughout the manufacturing process and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen, process enhancement, and waste reduction.
  • Develop and maintain robust training systems and inspection standards for production and operations teams.

## General

  • Exercise sound judgment and uphold quality standards firmly and professionally.
  • Perform any other duties or assignments as required by Management.

## Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the plastic manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 7 QC Tools, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in conducting audits, managing CAPA, and implementing QMS.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and digital documentation systems.
  • Ability to manage expectations across departments and handle work pressure effectively.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Must be willing to work in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
