Job description:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our 5 person engineering team. You'll work closely with our CTO to shape the backend roadmap, design scalable systems, and set engineering standards for our next stage of growth. The role focuses on API and business logic development, backend best practices, and mentoring junior engineers.

Job Description:

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable APIs and backend services using and PostgreSQL
  • Lead API design discussions, ensuring strong authentication and authorization frameworks
  • Apply industry-standard security practices for APIs and data, including secure handling, encryption, and safeguards against vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS)
  • Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas to ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance
  • Partner with the CTO to define, document, and enforce backend engineering best practices
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical support, and knowledge sharing
  • Stay current with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve system design and performance

Job Requirement:

  • 4–5 years of backend development experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with
    & TypeScript
    for server-side development
  • Strong expertise in
    PostgreSQL
    (database design, query optimization, migrations)
  • Proficiency with at least one backend framework:
    or
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, and documentation (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger)
