Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CNC Turning Technician with hands-on experience in both operating CNC turning machines and programming them using CAD/CAM tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC lathe operations, tooling knowledge, and be able to independently set up and optimize machining processes to achieve high-precision parts.

Key Responsibilities

1. CNC Turning Operation

  • Set up and operate CNC turning centers (lathe machines) for manufacturing precision components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.

2. CNC Programming

  • Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
  • Ensure optimal cutting parameters for efficiency, accuracy, and tool longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any programming-related issues.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Inspect machined parts using measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify tolerances and specifications.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.

4. Maintenance & Safety

  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report malfunctions.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and procedures.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate setup sheets, tool lists, and production records.
  • Provide feedback and input on process improvements and workflow efficiency.

Skills

  • Proficient in CNC lathe machine setup, operation, and G-code programming.
  • Familiarity with tooling selection and machining strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
