General Overview

The Handyman is responsible for performing a wide range of repair, finishing, and maintenance tasks for Eco Build's bungalow projects. This includes assisting during construction, supporting defect rectification before handover, and providing maintenance or touch-up work after handover to clients.

Main Duties

  • Attend to client-reported defects or maintenance requests within warranty period.
  • Assist site team with minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting works.
  • Perform small repair tasks such as patching walls, fixing door alignment, and sealing gaps.
  • Perform general maintenance such as fixing leaks, adjusting doors/windows, patching paint, or replacing bulbs/fittings.
  • Support the site supervisor in ensuring site cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Handle touch-up works before client inspections or photography sessions.
  • Replace or install small fittings (door handles, hinges, latches, silicone sealing, etc.).
  • Assist with installation of fixtures such as towel bars, mirrors, curtain rods, light covers, switches, and sockets.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  • Support defect checking and rectification during pre-handover stage.
  • Maintain a record of materials used and work completed for each service visit.

Coordination:

  • Report to Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
  • Coordinate daily tasks with relevant subcontractors (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers).
  • Provide status updates on minor rectification progress.

Skills & Requirements

  • Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting works.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and small power tools safely.
  • Good attention to detail and finishing quality.
  • Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
  • Valid driving license and willing to travel to project sites.
