About the role

Are you a creative and passionate content creator with a knack for crafting engaging digital content? Tropica Beauty Sdn. Bhd., a leading beauty and cosmetics brand, is seeking a full-time Content Creator (Mandarin Speaker) to join our dynamic marketing team in Batu Caves, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative content strategies that captivate our audiences across various digital platforms.

What you'll be doing

  • Create engaging content in Mandarin and English for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, XiaoHongShu/RED, YouTube, etc.).
  • Plan and develop creative ideas, captions, videos, and graphics that align with the company's branding and marketing objectives.
  • Produce, film, and edit short videos or reels for social media campaigns, product promotions, and brand storytelling.
  • Manage company social media accounts and ensure consistent posting, tone, and engagement with followers.
  • Write creative copy, product descriptions, and promotional materials in Mandarin to appeal to Chinese-speaking audiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and sales teams to develop digital marketing strategies and campaign content.
  • Monitor content performance and analyze engagement data to improve reach and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with social media trends, viral content, and popular topics in both Chinese and English markets.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or a related field
  2. Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written), able to create content and communicate effectively in both language.
  3. Proven track record of creating engaging, high-performing content across various platforms, including social media, website, and email.
  4. Familiarity with content management systems, SEO best practices, and social media analytics.
  5. Proficient in social media platforms, video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, Photoshop).
  6. Knowledge of Chinese social media trends (e.g. Douyin, XiaoHongShu) is an added advantage.
  7. Passion for the beauty and cosmetics industry, with a keen eye for the latest trends and consumer insights
  8. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
