Key Responsibilities

The Senior ELV Design Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end management and coordination of the following ELV systems:

· Telecom (F/O Data Network): Reviewing and managing the design for fiber optic and structured cabling data networks.

· Security Systems: Overseeing the design and integration of CCTV, Access Control, and other physical security systems.

· Building/Power Management Systems (BMS/PMS): Managing the design review for systems controlling and monitoring critical data center infrastructure (HVAC, fire suppression, power distribution, etc.).

· OneSCADA: Ensuring the seamless integration and design review of the centralized Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.

Specific Duties Include:

· Shop Drawing & Design Review: Conducting thorough reviews and approvals of contractor/vendor shop drawings and technical submittals to ensure compliance with design specifications, local standards, and project requirements.

· Schedule Management: Developing, managing, and monitoring the ELV design and submittal schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met to prevent delays in construction.

· Coordination & Collaboration: Serving as the primary point of contact for ELV design matters. This involves leading coordination meetings and liaising closely with:

o   Design Consultants (A/E firms)

o   Project Management (PM) and Construction Management (CM) teams

o   Main Contractors and System Vendors

· Technical Consultation: Providing expert technical guidance and solutions during the design and construction phases.

Requirements

· Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in ELV system design and coordination, with a significant focus on data center projects (Tier III/IV preferred).

· Technical Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of the ELV systems listed above (Telecom/F/O Network, Security, BMS/PMS, SCADA).

· Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex project schedules, technical documentation, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Local Knowledge: Must be a local resident in Malaysia with a strong understanding of local regulations and industry practices.

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
