We are seeking a Junior Unix System Administrator to join our Service Build Engineering team, focusing on platform engineering. The role involves managing Unix/Linux environments, supporting middleware platforms, and ensuring system stability and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka, along with strong database and scripting skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux systems and related infrastructure.
  • Support middleware platforms including JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Manage database connectivity and integration for Oracle and MySQL environments.
  • Execute Unix shell scripts and SQL commands for system administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth platform operations and deployments.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations and operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
  • Hands-on knowledge of JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Oracle and MySQL databases.
  • 3–5 years of experience in system administration or platform engineering.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with additional middleware or messaging tools.
  • Knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and CI/CD processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM8,000.00 per month
