About the role

Sunway Medical Centre Velocity is seeking experienced Pharmacists to join our dedicated team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and medication management within our inpatient and outpatient settings. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, purpose-driven healthcare environment and contribute to the overall wellbeing of our patients.

What you'll be doing

  1. Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management
  2. Dispense and review prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and providing patient counselling on medication usage, side effects and interactions
  3. Monitor patients' medication regimens and recommend adjustments as needed
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
  6. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  7. Supervision of work performed by staffs in the service area is in accordance to required standards of performance
  8. Provide educational resources and training to healthcare staff on pharmacy-related topics

What we're looking for

  1. Registered Pharmacist with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Pharmacist in a hospital or clinical setting
  3. Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, medication management, and patient safety protocols
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
  5. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve medication-related issues
  6. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends
  7. Additional advantage for candidate with people management experience.
