About the role

We are currently looking for 2 position for immediate hiring

- Project Engineer

- Electrical Design Engineer.

This is contract basis for 7 years with Mechylite Consult Sdn Bhd is based in Shah Alam, Selangor. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing TNB Hydro LEP Projects in Perak from start to finish, as well as designing and developing solutions that meet the company's needs and exceed client expectations.

What you'll be doing

Project Engineer.

  1. Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  2. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams on technical and project matters.
  3. Prepare project schedules, method statements, work programs, and progress reports.
  4. Monitor site progress, quality of work, and compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
  5. Review and coordinate shop drawings, technical submissions, and material approvals.
  6. Assist in cost control, variation orders, and claims documentation.
  7. Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and relevant standards.
  9. Attend project meetings, site meetings, and inspections as required.
  10. Support project handover, testing, and commissioning activities.

Electrical Design Engineer.

  1. Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts, and calculations in accordance with project requirements.
  2. Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  3. Coordinate with project and site teams to support design implementation.
  4. Review and revise designs based on technical requirements and site conditions.
  5. Provide technical support during project execution.

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  2. 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or Design Engineer, preferably in the M&E Consultant Services especially Candidate with a proven track record in any small hydro/hydro power plant.
  3. Strong technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles, design methods, and project management techniques
  4. Proficiency in using engineering software, such as CAD, project management, and simulation tools
  5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  7. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  8. Proficient in spoken and written English.
