Responsibilities:

  • To handle the financial affairs of the Property Development Company with proper control.  This includes, providing timely, relevant, and accurate information to the Management and to ensure the financial and accounting functions operate at optimum effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Oversee the day to day finance operations and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely monthly closing of accounts.
  • Review journal entries and Financial Statement to maintain timely delivery of accurate reporting.
  • Analyze financial results of the company.
  • Assist in the forecast analysis.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, reporting standards and ensure compliance with accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Able to liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, government authorities and the management.
  • Prepare and review consolidate financial statements, and ensure compliance with the Financial Reporting Standards and management reporting requirements.
  • Prepare group budget and forecast.
  • Develop group strategic business plan and KPIs.  Monitor and communicate the performance to the management and business units.
  • Liaise with financiers and advisors for corporate exercises.
  • Assist in the tax analysis and tax planning.
  • Ensure accounting policies and procedures as well as internal controls are in place and complied with.
  • Responsible in applying and liaising for new financing facilities from local banks.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or a Professional qualification from a recognized accounting body and a member of MIA.
  • At least 5 years(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Knowledgeable in Finance Reporting standards and proficient in the preparation of annual consolidation of accounts.
  • Strong analytical and conceptualization skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
