Overview

We are looking for a proactive
Automation System Operator
to support and operate our fulfilment warehouse's digital ecosystem, including the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), and integrated automation/robotics solutions. This role is ideal for those with a passion for technology, robotics, and AI-driven operations, and who enjoy solving real-world problems in a fast-paced fulfilment environment.

Key Responsibilities:

A) System Operations & Monitoring

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in inbound, outbound, inventory tracking and order processing.
  • Maintain real-time visibility of system performance, dashboards, order queues, and task allocations.
  • Ensure all system and automation processes follow safety standards and operational SOPs.

B) Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in WMS/TMS processes and propose improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse system data (task delays, robot idle time, pick/put accuracy, etc.) to enhance productivity.
  • Assist in testing, implementing, and documenting new system features, upgrades, or automation enhancements.
  • Support pilot testing for robotics integration, workflow redesign, and optimization projects.

C) Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with warehouse supervisors, automation vendors, IT teams, and operations staff.
  • Prepare daily/weekly operational system reports (system uptime, errors, throughput).
  • Provide user support and basic WMS/TMS training to ground staff when needed.

Requirements

A) Education & Background

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, AI Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with working in digital smart warehouse would be an added advantage.

B) Technical Skills

Basic understanding of:

  • Warehouse digital systems (WMS/TMS)
  • Robotics/automation equipment
  • IoT sensors, basic networking & hardware troubleshooting
  • SQL, Python or similar tools (added advantage)
  • Familiarity with dashboards, system logs and data interpretation.
