Position Overview

Our client is seeking Intelligent Operations
Engineers
to join their data infrastructure team. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of Lenovo's big data platforms and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise in Hive, Databricks, and cloud infrastructure operations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Operations:
    Operate, monitor, and maintain big data platforms (Hadoop/Spark ecosystem) and Azure infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Hive Cluster Management:
    Manage Hive data warehouses — including SQL performance tuning, resource queue configuration, and access control.
  • Databricks Administration:
    Oversee Azure Databricks environments — job scheduling, workspace setup, cost optimization, and permissions management.
  • Monitoring & Alerting:
    Design and maintain monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) for proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • User Support & Documentation:
    Provide operational support to data teams and maintain clear documentation and runbooks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum
    3 years
    of experience in operations or engineering for big data platforms.
  • Strong expertise in
    Hive
    architecture, SQL optimization, and tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Databricks
    administration (preferably
    Azure Databricks
    ).
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms (
    Azure, AWS, or GCP
    ) and core services (VMs, storage, IAM, networking).
  • Excellent communication skills, strong sense of ownership, and problem-solving mindset.
