We're looking for an
Account Manager, Social Media

who is as passionate as ourselves about ideating, planning, executing and managing social media and influencer marketing campaigns to achieve the clients' business goals.

Responsibilities include planning
social media campaigns and developing content
across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn. You also need to consult and engage with the client from time to time.

Who's who in the workshop?

You'll be reporting to the Marketing & Analytics Director and work closely with all teams, especially Account and Creative teams.

What do we need you to do?

Client Management & Strategy

  • Be the main point of contact for clients — from social campaigns to influencer collaborations and beyond.
  • Build trusted relationships by understanding each client's goals, voice, and audience deeply.
  • Lead proposal planning and presentation — ideating, structuring, and pitching creative and strategic social solutions that go beyond the brief.
  • Translate client objectives into actionable plans, inspiring both the internal team and clients with your clarity and insight.

Team Leadership & Content Management

  • Lead and mentor a young, talented social media team — providing creative direction, constructive feedback, and daily guidance.
  • Ensure content ideas are on-brand, trend-aware, and data-backed.
  • Oversee the production of content calendars, storytelling, and campaign execution across platforms like
    Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn

.
- Encourage experimentation, creative risks, and fresh thinking in every post.

Campaign Execution & Performance

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure smooth execution from start to finish.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, strategists, and media planners to deliver high-impact work.
  • Track and analyse performance metrics, optimize campaigns, and turn insights into recommendations that drive engagement and results.
  • Oversee influencer and KOL partnerships — from selection to collaboration and reporting.

Reporting & Optimization

  • Prepare reports and post-mortems that go beyond numbers — telling stories of what worked, why it worked, and how to do it better next time.
  • Continuously monitor social trends, algorithm updates, and cultural moments to keep clients (and your team) ahead of the curve.

What kind of fun will you get up to at Mechanikos?

  • You'll generate and pitch creative content ideas that resonate with clients' needs and wants, keeping up with the latest trends.
  • You'll develop comprehensive content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis for various brands, including our in-house brands.
  • You'll repurpose and optimize existing content for digital platforms, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.
  • You'll create content that aligns with the client's brand voice, tone, and manner, maintaining consistency across all channels.
  • You'll optimize social media content to drive higher engagement and expand audience reach.
  • You'll collaborate with social media influencers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to amplify the brand's message.
  • You'll assist in social media content creation and social media listening to stay attuned to audience feedback and trends.

Got skills?

  • You have impeccable Bahasa Malaysia and English skills, both written and verbal.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in social media, either with clients or at an agency.
  • You have a good understanding of the different types and roles of media platforms.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Google Slides and Google Sheets .
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have the ability to multitask and handle numerous projects simultaneously.
  • You can work well under pressure and within timeline constraints.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing and/or Communications.
  • You are comfortable and casual in front of the camera for creating engaging social media content.
  • You have proficiency in creating compelling social media content that resonates with the audience.
  • You have knowledge of social media video editing to produce high-quality content.
  • You have experience managing client relationships and social media campaigns effectively.
  • You have the passion to stay updated with the latest social media trends and incorporate them into campaigns.
  • You have experience in engaging with social media influencers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • You have strong skills in replying to comments and direct messages to maintain active engagement on clients' social media pages.
  • You have the ability to analyze social media metrics to optimize content and campaigns for better performance.
