OVERVIEW

As a full-time Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise to collaborate with various groups across the company to create, revise, and maintain Fastenal Product Standards (FPS). You will serve as the primary engineering resource for all matters related to product standards within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support internally and externally regarding FPS requirements.
  • Create, revise, and publish FPS for both fasteners and non-fasteners.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Quality & Engineering, FASTCO, and suppliers to finalize product requirements.
  • Maintain product standards, data, and documentation within the FPS library.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product standard content.
  • Coordinate discussions with other teams to resolve FPS discrepancies.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (any discipline).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and customer service oriented.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills.

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software.
