Business Development Manager job in Kuala Lumpur

Your new roleAs the Senior Manager, Business Development, you will be responsible for formulating and executing the business strategy for the water and wastewater sectors in Malaysia. Your role will include identifying and securing high-margin projects, managing bids and tenders, preparing technical and financial proposals, and developing strategic relationships with project owners and partners. You will also provide market intelligence to senior management, support cross-company initiatives, and prepare periodic reports and forecasts for performance review.

What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with an MBA or process engineering background considered an advantage. You should have at least 5-8 years of experience in business development within the water and wastewater sector, along with a proven track record of securing large contracts and achieving sales targets. Strong knowledge of industry technologies, regulations, and market dynamics is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, combined with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, will be key to your success. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required, and you must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
