Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee asset management within the client's data center to ensure effective maintenance and control of all assets.
  • Conduct regular asset inventory audits, registration, and updates to maintain accurate asset information.
  • Assist in developing and implementing asset management strategies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Enforce warehouse access control and asset movement registration in strict compliance with asset SOPs.
  • Perform comprehensive audits of all data center assets, verifying location, serial number, status, model, and other details to ensure 100% accuracy between records and physical inventory. Utilize asset management tools and software for rapid data retrieval, analysis, and identification of discrepancies. Plan and review cycle count schedules, provide optimization suggestions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Comply with IDC environmental and asset security policies, and strictly follow asset SOPs throughout processes such as storage, transportation, ingress/egress, and decommissioning to prevent damage and ensure data security. Capable of proposing improvements to environmental and asset safety control measures.
  • Utilize asset management platforms to respond to and execute work orders per SLA requirements, ensuring SLA compliance and data accuracy. Ability to suggest enhancements to asset management and ticketing processes.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in the data center industry, with at least 5 years specializing in asset management.
  • Expertise in end-to-end IDC asset lifecycle management from deployment to decommissioning. Familiarity with common data center equipment (e.g., switches, servers) and components (e.g., optical modules, cards, fiber cables). Warehouse management experience is required, including knowledge of environmental controls such as dust and moisture prevention. Proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong logical communication and attentive listening skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in team management, mentoring, and coordinating with other teams (e.g., IT Operations). Demonstrates a team-oriented mindset and proactively supports colleagues.
  • Proven ability in team management and project coordination. Capable of handling unexpected tasks, leading projects independently, allocating resources efficiently, and driving regional project implementation.
  • Possess basic English communication skills.
