Role : Test & Debug Assistant Engineer

Permanent position with Client

Location – Penang, Malaysia

Language - Malay

Experience – 4 to 8 years

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist the Test & Debug Engineer and Manager in:

  1. Provide total support for Test Engineering line maintenance operation.

  2. Perform and co-ordinate Test set-up and correlate test station and repair test fixtures.

  3. Reduce down time complying with Department goal and objective and resolve problems with corrective action.

  4. Execute Total Preventive Maintenance activity (TPM) to avoid equipment breakdown.

  5. Perform test equipment purchase, registration, send for repair and calibration.

  6. Responsible in debugging ICT test failure boards and ensure WIP status complies with Department goal (KPI).

  7. Timely update test yield monitoring report based on debug findings and feedback to production/SMT/product engineering/process engineering towards improvements and resolve the problem.

  8. Perform debug on test failure units and rework activities to ensure debug WIP status complies with Department goal (KPI).

  9. Weekly update test yield monitoring report based on debug findings and feedback to production/SMT/ engineering/process engineering towards improvements and resolve the problem.

  10. Work with suppliers or manufacturer on defective parts analysis to overcome test yield issues.

  11. To provide training for the related personnel on the techniques and procedure of executing the debug and rework process.

  12. To generate debug guide book for critical models based previous debug report.

  13. Up keep debug Work in Progress (WIP) and rework units management system as stated in SOP.

  14. To work on cost reduction and improvement projects.

  15. To participate fully in upholding the integrity of our company quality system such as ISO9000, ISO13485, ESD and also other quality standards as requested by customers.

  16. To control debug WIP material effectively and provide a debug inventory report timely.

  17. To be proactive towards potential available opportunities by initiating technical projects in maximizing line productivity and quality performances as well as minimizing cost by utilizing available statistical tool, design of experiments, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and others.

  18. To closely work with Preproduction team on test related failed units.
