As a API Tester, you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance for digital applications, especially mobile and API-based solutions. You'll lead test planning, execution, defect triage, and mentoring, while also collaborating with developers, product teams, and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in shaping test strategies, enhancing QA practices, and driving continuous improvement in delivery quality.

Role Description

  • The API Tester will be responsible for testing APIs, developing test strategies, executing tests, and reporting on the quality of the APIs.
  • Daily tasks include writing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting bugs, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues, and ensuring that APIs meet performance and quality standards.
  • The role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of APIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in application testing (manual and/or automated), with strong expertise in API.
  • Hands-on experience with Postman and other API testing tools.
  • Experience in the banking domain is preferred.
  • Familiarity with automated test tools and scripting for QA processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
