Project Engineer

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Design & Technical Coordination:

2. Review and verify civil & structural design drawings, calculations, and specifications provided by consultants or EPC teams.

3. Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, authority requirements (e.g., CIDB, DOSH, BOMBA, TNB, JKR), and international standards.
4. Coordinate with design consultants for technical clarifications, revisions, and value engineering proposals.

5. Prepare and review structural layouts for foundations, inverter stations, transformer plinths, control buildings, access roads, and drainage systems.

6. Project Planning & Execution:

7. Develop project execution plans for all C&S activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control.

8. Supervise and monitor site progress to ensure civil and structural works are completed as per plan and quality requirements.
9. Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and solar installation teams) to resolve interface issues and optimize construction sequence.

10. Verify construction methodology and ensure proper implementation of approved method statements.

11. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

12. Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures for all C&S works.

13. Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Material Approval Requests (MARs), and Method Statements (MS).
14. Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and safety standards.

15. Manage and close non-conformance reports (NCRs) and technical queries (TQs).

16. Procurement & Material Management:

17. Review material specifications and assist procurement in evaluating suppliers and subcontractors.

18. Verify technical compliance of materials such as concrete, steel reinforcement, geotextiles, and foundation systems.

19. Monitor material usage and coordinate timely delivery to site to avoid delays.

20. Reporting & Documentation:

21. Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, technical correspondences, and as-built drawings.

22. Support project management team in preparing monthly progress claims, variation orders, and handover documentation.

23. Ensure all records are properly documented for project close-out and client submission.

24. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

25. Ensure all civil and structural activities comply with project HSE requirements.

26. Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings.

27. Promote a strong safety culture within the C&S site team.

28. Arrange for testing & commissioning, and handover documentation assessment.

29. Provide professional and quality engineering and project management services to clients throughout project lifecycle, including periodic reporting and technical consultancy for clients.

Academic Qualification:

• Candidate must possess at least Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Project Management or related field.

Experiences:

• Minimum 1 year of engineering design experience in relevant field, preferably in renewable energy, power plant, or infrastructure projects.
• Candidates with Solar PV Installation / Project Management / Construction experience will be given priority.
• Young, energetic, creative and passionate about green technology.
• Good English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese language proficiency with effective speaking and writing skills.
• Valid driving license and has own vehicle.
• Willing to travel (West Malaysia Peninsular) and work on site.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Mature and proactive, team player, with good stakeholder management skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
