SPEECH THERAPIST

Job Descriptions :

  • Conduct functional assessment to determine required therapy for basic cases
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties
  • Develop and implement effective treatment programs
  • Evaluate therapy progress and outcomes using selected therapy outcome measures
  • Provide counseling to patients and patients' families about results of testing and recommended treatment options
  • Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment
  • Identify risks of patient, environments, situations and equipment
  • Improve therapy by using new techniques and technologies
  • Recommend preventive and corrective measures for incidents
  • Suggest therapy based on evaluation of patients' needs
  • Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits
  • Delegate duties to support personnel as appropriate
  • Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies per state guidelines

Requirements :

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with diverse age groups
  • Knowledge of various speech therapy techniques and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various speech and language disorders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs and preferences of patients
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Proficient computer skills to document therapy sessions and utilize therapy software
