Position Summary

The Elementary & Middle School Facilitator plays a vital role in guiding students through their blended learning journey. This role involves facilitating academic growth, nurturing social-emotional development, and supporting independent and collaborative learning within a hybrid environment that combines online curriculum (e.g., Time4Learning / Blyth Academy Online) with in-person instruction and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Facilitation

  • Guide students (Grades 3–8) in daily following the Academy's curriculum framework.
  • Provide differentiated support for students with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor students' progress on online learning platforms, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Conduct small group discussions, project-based learning sessions, and interactive reinforcement activities.

  • Assist students in developing study habits, critical thinking, and self-management skills.

  • Classroom & Behaviour Management

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment.

  • Uphold school policies and reinforce good discipline, responsibility, and teamwork.

  • Guide students in developing empathy, confidence, and a growth mindset.

  • Communication & Collaboration

Communicate regularly with teachers, and administrators about student progress and concerns.

  • Collaborate with subject teachers and learning coaches to plan and implement enrichment or intervention activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training workshops, and school events.
    1. Assessment & Reporting
  • Track student attendance, participation, and performance through online and in-person records.
  • Prepare progress reports, formative assessment data, and individual student learning observations.

  • Support promotional assessments and placement testing processes.

  • Student Mentorship & Enrichment

  • Encourage students' curiosity, creativity, and self-directed learning.

  • Facilitate extracurricular or thematic learning sessions (STEM, arts, reading clubs, etc.) aligned with the school's holistic development goals.
  • Provide guidance on time management, goal setting, and personal growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Education / Early Childhood / Psychology / Related Fields.
  • Prior teaching, tutoring, or facilitation experience preferred (1–3 years).
  • Strong English communication skills; Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency are an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with hybrid or online learning systems is desirable (e.g., Time4Learning, Google Classroom, Teams).
  • Passionate about working with children and fostering independent, joyful learning.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Fresh graduate

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM RM45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 18 per week
