Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement iterative investment strategies for the fixed-income asset class and communicate these clearly and succinctly to internal and external stakeholders through publications and presentations.
  • Work closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) on the quarterly market strategies to deliver a balanced view on tactical asset allocation.
  • Play an active role in constructing bond model portfolios and ensuring effective translation into client solutions.
  • Conduct Portfolio reviews for both the CIMB Preferred and Private Banking's clients.
  • Drive the growth of the Chief Investment Office's advisory business by providing investment advisory services to CIMB Preferred and Private Banking clients.
  • Oversee the credit process, ensuring bond recommendations align with CIO risk parameters on a risk-adjusted basis.
  • Manage a small team of credit analysts and ensure adherence to the CIO credit process.
  • Support marketing initiatives, including quarterly market webinars, outlook sessions, and ad hoc podcast productions; actively share insights and views on the fixed-income asset class with relationship managers, investor advisors, and investment consultants.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the CIMB Chief Investment Officer.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in portfolio management or credit, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Graduate or postgraduate Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; CFA designation is an advantage.
  • Preferably holds a licensed CSMRL Investment Adviser Representative license.
  • Strong familiarity with structuring fixed-income strategies on both global and local FX bases.
  • Ability to integrate credit research with top-down macroeconomic analysis.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and exceptional communication skills.
