It was founded by the creative thing behind the creative mind behind the phenomenally successful preschool cartoons Omar & Hana and Didi & Friends. Both cartoons have amassed more than 18 million subscribers and an incredible 8 billion views on YouTube. As a proud member of Y-Combinator (W22), Durioo+ serves as a safe streaming platform for animations and videos designed specifically for children.

Durioo+ operates on a subscription-based model. We produce, co-produce, and license entertaining, ethical, and meaningful content tailored for children. Launched in February 2022, we already boast more than 36,000 paid subscribers and host over 16,000 pieces of content on our platform and numbers are growing every month. All our content is meticulously curated to align with Islamic teachings and values.

Job Overview:

Durioo+ is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst (Mobile Apps & Web) to ensure a high-quality streaming experience across mobile, web, and Smart TVs. You will be responsible for manual testing to identify and document issues, while also developing automation scripts to improve testing efficiency. This role requires a strong eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for quality assurance.

You will work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to test new features, track defects, and enhance Durioo+ across multiple platforms. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-growing startup delivering family-friendly content worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual Testing – Execute test cases on mobile (iOS/Android), web, and Smart TVs, ensuring smooth playback and user experience.
• Bug Reporting – Identify, document, and track software defects with clear descriptions, steps to reproduce, and screenshots/videos.
• Test Planning – Develop and maintain test cases, checklists, and test plans based on product requirements.
• Cross-Device Testing – Verify app functionality across different devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
• Regression Testing – Ensure new releases don't introduce new bugs by re-testing existing functionality.
• Performance Testing – Identify lag, buffering issues, or crashes affecting the user experience.
• Collaboration – Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to prioritize and resolve issues.
• User Experience Testing – Ensure smooth navigation, intuitive UI, and consistent user experience across platforms.
• Test Automation – Develop and maintain simple automation scripts for repetitive test cases.
• API Testing – Use tools like Postman to validate backend API responses.
• CI/CD Integration – Work with engineers to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting for UI Testing – Write test scripts using proven tools for web, mobile apps, smart tvs.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest and implement process improvements to enhance quality assurance practices.

Background & Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in QA testing (manual & automation).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot UI/UX inconsistencies.
• Ability to document issues clearly and communicate with engineers.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Bugzilla).
• Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Knowledge of functional and regression testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with CI/CD tools like github.
• Experience in testing mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Exposure to scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for test automation.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
