Position 1: HV Electrical Project Managers (High-Voltage) - Data Centre Contruction Projects- JB

A Data Centre Electrical High Voltage Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, high-voltage projects, including substations and power infrastructure, for data centres. Key responsibilities include managing project budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards, coordinating with clients, utilities, and contractors, and overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems like switchgear, generators, and UPS. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in high and low voltage systems, and excellent communication skills.

Core responsibilities

• Project management: Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle, from planning and mobilization to execution and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Technical oversight: Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, including substations, switchgear, generators, and UPS systems.
• Stakeholder coordination: Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, utility companies (e.g., Tenaga Nasional Berhad), consultants, and contractors.
• Compliance and safety: Ensure all projects adhere to strict safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory compliance. This includes implementing and enforcing safety procedures and managing risks.
• Budget and schedule management: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, monitor progress against the schedule, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Documentation and reporting: Prepare and maintain all necessary project documentation, such as project plans, schedules, reports, permits, and technical specifications.
• Contract and vendor management: Oversee vendor procurement and manage contracts to ensure performance and delivery align with project goals.

Key qualifications

• Proven experience in managing complex electrical projects, particularly within mission-critical environments like data centres.
• Strong technical background in electrical systems, including HV and LV distribution, switchgear, generators, and UPS systems.
• Experience in high-voltage substation projects
• Strong leadership and communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is desirable.
• A recognised electrical engineering degree or relevant qualification

Position 2: Electrical & ELV Project Managers (Extra Low-Voltage) - Data Centre Contruction Projects- JB

A Data Centre Electrical & ELV Project Manager is responsible for leading the full lifecycle of projects involving data centre electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, from planning and design coordination to commissioning and handover. Key duties include managing project scope, budget, and timeline; ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards; managing stakeholders like clients, vendors, and contractors; and leading a multi-disciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Manage the entire project lifecycle, including defining objectives, scopes, budgets, and schedules. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of projects to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Facilitate clear communication to ensure alignment and represent the company's interests.
• Budget and Schedule Control: Track and control project costs and timelines to ensure profitability and meet deadlines.
• Quality and Compliance: Ensure all electrical and ELV installations meet all local, international, and company-specific standards and quality benchmarks. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance and workmanship.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other specialists, such as mechanical, civil, and IT engineers, to ensure integrated and successful project delivery.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight for the design and installation of electrical systems, including power distribution and ELV systems.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Strong project management skills, with experience in managing complex projects from start to finish.
• Technical proficiency in electrical and ELV systems and data center infrastructure is essential.
• Experience with project planning, cost control, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
