Role Summary

The Team/Tech Lead will oversee the end-to-end migration of applications from OutSystems 11 (O11) to OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC). The role requires strong technical expertise in O11, hands-on experience with ODC, and the ability to guide the development team through assessment, refactoring, redevelopment, testing, and deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of six OutSystems Developers throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Conduct application assessment and define migration strategy (one-shot, phased, or rebuild).
• Review O11 applications for ODC readiness, gaps, technical debt, and required refactoring.
• Define technical architecture, reusable components, and integration patterns suitable for ODC.
• Oversee redesign of Traditional Web apps into Reactive/ODC-compatible applications.
• Coordinate with client architecture, security, and integration teams (API, AD, SAP, network).
• Ensure quality assurance, coding standards, and performance benchmarks are met.
• Manage sprints, workload assignment, UAT support, and release planning.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to ODC capabilities, CI/CD, data migration, and deployment.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide regular project status updates.

Requirements

• 8+ years of total experience in OutSystems; strong experience with O11 Reactive & Traditional Web.
• Minimum 1–2 years hands-on experience or training/exposure in
  OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC)
  .
• Proven experience leading teams for modernisation or migration projects.
• Strong understanding of architecture, reusable components, integrations, and security frameworks.
• Experience with API integrations, SSO (Azure AD), and enterprise-grade cloud deployments.
• Good analytical skills, stakeholder communication, sprint planning, and documentation ability.
• OutSystems certifications
  (Professional/Expert, Architecture Specialist, ODC certifications preferred).

Position:
OutSystems Developer – O11 to ODC Migration

Location:
Malaysia – 3-4 Onsite, 2-3 Offshore from India/Philippines/Indonesia

Team Size:
Part of a 7-member migration squad

Duration:
6 months - extendable

Role Summary

The OutSystems Developer will be responsible for migrating, refactoring, and redeveloping OutSystems 11 applications to OutSystems Developer Cloud, including application redesign, integration handling, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on migration of O11 apps to ODC under the guidance of the Team Lead.
• Analyse current O11 modules (Reactive and Traditional Web) and identify required changes.
• Rebuild or refactor incompatible components to meet ODC standards.
• Develop screens, logic, data models, and integrations in ODC.
• Rewrite Traditional Web applications into Reactive/ODC components where required.
• Implement and test integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, SAP connectors, external services).
• Ensure code quality, performance, and compliance with OutSystems best practices.
• Support unit testing, system testing, UAT, and production deployment activities.
• Produce technical documentation for migrated components.

Requirements

• 3+/5+ years of experience in OutSystems development (O11 Reactive/Web).
• Exposure to or training in
  ODC development
  (hands-on experience preferred).
• Strong skills in data modelling, logic, UI, and integration development.
• Experience with REST APIs, authentication methods, and reusable components.
• Ability to understand legacy modules, refactor code, and work in agile sprints.
• OutSystems certifications
  (Associate/Professional; ODC certifications advantageous).
• Good debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
