Key Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term preventive maintenance strategies aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements.
  • Design and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for equipment and machinery.
  • Review and improve maintenance work procedures, specifications, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Evaluate existing maintenance practices and identify areas for improvement; implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage preventive maintenance budgets, including manpower, materials, and spare parts.
  • Allocate resources effectively to optimize maintenance efficiency and minimize operational costs.
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high standards of reliability and safety.
  • Plan and oversee new CAPEX projects that impact preventive maintenance performance.
  • Conduct post-performance analyses of completed projects to assess results and identify lessons learned.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and departments to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training and development for maintenance staff to enhance team performance.
  • Analyze and report on plant equipment integrity to relevant departments.
  • Review equipment design and recommend improvements for reliability and maintainability.
  • Apply knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and other inspection methods in maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities and scopes of work with internal departments and external contractors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in plant maintenance, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record in implementing and optimizing preventive maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS).
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial equipment, utilities, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of maintenance methodologies such as TPM, RCM, or Reliability Engineering is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, ISO, and local regulatory standards.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM11, RM12,000.00 per month
