Role Summary:

The Project Lead will manage the planning, execution, and delivery of industrial and energy projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, quality standards, and compliance regulations. This role requires a highly organized and proactive leader who can coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, interface with stakeholders, and provide strategic guidance throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Lead projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.

Track budgets, costs, and performance metrics; report progress regularly.

Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination:

Manage internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure project objectives are met.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.

Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear updates on status, issues, and milestones.

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure all project activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Monitor project deliverables for quality assurance and adherence to technical specifications.

Maintain project documentation, including reports, approvals, and permits.

Strategic & Business Support:

Assist in proposal development, project scoping, and feasibility studies.

Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project efficiency and outcomes.

Collaborate with business development and operations teams to align project execution with organizational goals.


Candidate Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.

Master's degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum 5–10 years of project management experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects in Malaysia or Southeast Asia.

Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Strong financial and budget management knowledge.

Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).

PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Fluent in English; Malay and/or Mandarin is a plus.

Ability to travel locally and regionally as required.
