Job Purpose and Impact

The Chemist Intern will play a vital role in supporting the Quality and R&D team by assisting in laboratory testing, finished goods quality control, and new product development. This role will also include basic laboratory equipment maintenance and documentation work to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • 20% – Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal specifications and regulatory standards.
  • 20% – Assist in finished product quality control and documentation, including sample preparation, data recording, and reporting non-conformities.
  • 10% – Support product research and development (R&D) projects by preparing formulations, running trials, and collecting test data.
  • 15% – Assist in routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality.
  • 35% – Participate in safety, quality, and operational training to support continuous improvement and compliance initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with good record-keeping and data analysis skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment (e.g., pH meter, titrator, density meter and etc).
  • Interest or experience in product formulation or chemical testing.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes or industrial lab practices.
