Company Description:

The Sepang International Circuit, located 85km from Kuala Lumpur, is a state-of-the-art facility for motorsports, officially opened in 1999. It aims to be the hub for motor racing activities in the region and a catalyst for Malaysia's motorsports. The circuit can accommodate up to 130,000 spectators and features ultramodern facilities, including the three-storey Pit Building and the Welcome Centre.

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role as an Event Sponsorship Senior Executive at the Sepang International Circuit. The Senior Executive will be responsible for managing event sponsorships, coordinating marketing activities, planning events, and managing event budgets. They will play a key role in ensuring successful and impactful events at the circuit.

Areas of Accountability:

  • Develop and manage event plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate event logistics, including venue booking, catering, equipment, and technical setup.
  • Lead briefing sessions and ensure team alignment on event expectations.
  • Oversee the setup and smooth execution of events on-site.
  • Ensure proper management of manpower, logistics flow, and on-the-day troubleshooting.
  • Serve as the main point of contact during the event, including for VIPs and key guests.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Corporate Communications, and other departments to ensure event alignment with brand messaging.
  • Engage with sponsors, partners, and vendors to negotiate services and deliverables.
  • Build relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
  • Conduct post-mortem reviews and prepare event evaluation reports with metrics and improvement plans.
  • Track budget performance, expenses, and ROI of events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Event Management,
  • Event Planning and Budgeting expertise.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of motorsports industry is a plus.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in event planning or coordination.
  • Experience managing large events with multiple stakeholders is a strong advantage.
