About the Role

Join the dynamic and fast-paced team at MR DIY as a Senior Product & Packaging Designer. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our brand's visual identity, responsible for creating and enhancing packaging that captures customer attention and drives buying decisions. You will work within a collaborative design team, playing a crucial role in bringing our products to life through innovative and strategic packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product packaging design initiatives, from concept development and guideline creation to multi-SKU adaptations across diverse retail categories.
  • Create cohesive branding systems for the company house brand packaging and any sub-brands. Produce high-quality graphic design, product imagery and marketing collateral.
  • Partner with procurement and marketing to ensure design solutions meet strategic objectives. Utilize generative AI tools to enhance creativity and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the evolution of MR D.I.Y.& packaging visual identity and design standards.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide creative guidance to others as needed.

Requirements

  1. Experience:
    years of branding and graphic design experience. A strong portfolio is essential, showcasing expertise in product and packaging design. Experience with Disney-licensed products, FMCG, or major retail brands is highly prioritized.
  2. Portfolio:
    Your portfolio should not only demonstrate exceptional branding and packaging work but also illustrate your complete design process, from initial concepts and ideation to final execution.
  3. Technical Skills:
    Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a must. Experience with generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Firefly, ChatGPT) is highly valued.
  4. Communication & Collaboration:
    You must be a collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English, due to work nature. You should be comfortable presenting your ideas, actively listening to feedback, and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
  5. Personal Attributes:
    We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude and a genuine curiosity for learning. You should possess strong time management skills and be eager to contribute to the team.
  6. Education:
    A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Product Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is required.
