Graphic Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Havenbakes is seeking for a highly creative, detail-oriented, dynamic and artsy Graphic Designer to join the Creative Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to creating engaging and visually appealing designs across various platforms to support our brand, marketing campaign efforts, and including print & digital presence.

What you'll be doing:

A well-rounded Graphic Designer here should have a good grasp of these essentials skills as he/she will be pivotal in the day-to-day work :

a) Graphic Design

• Develop and design creative graphics, layouts, and visual elements for marketing materials, including but not limited to brochures, posters, tagging, packaging, door gift stickers, paper bag & box design, social media content, and website assets.

b) Conceptualization and Design Principles

• Develop visual concepts and designs based on director's requirements, client briefs and project objectives. This includes brainstorming, sketching, and creating rough layouts.

c) Layout, Typography, and Typesetting

• Plan and implement layouts, considering typography, color schemes, and image placement.

d) Photography Skill

• Visual understanding of composition & balance, rule of thirds, lighting & shadow, color theory, and know how to use photoshoot props.
• Basic technical knowledge of camera settings like aperture, shutter speed, ISO, depth of fields etc to prepare raw stock photos.

d) Adaptation and Iteration

• Revise designs based on feedback and make necessary adjustments to ensure client satisfaction.

e) Collaboration

• Work closely with directors, clients, creative content team and others to translate ideas and messages into impactful visuals and ensure projects meet our needs.

f) Quality Control

• Ensure designs are visually appealing, consistent with brand identity and style guidelines, and must meet quality standards.

g) Project Management

• Manage deadlines, budgets, and ensure campaigns / projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Prepare artwork files for production and coordinate with directors and/or clients when necessary.

h) Stay Updated and Resourceful

• Keep up-to-date with design trends and tools, software updates, and industry best practices to consistently bring fresh innovative ideas.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR; REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:

• Bachelor Degree in related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience as a graphic designer or in a related creative field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design styles and projects.
• Strong understanding of layout design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator, InDesign, and other relevant software.
• Excellent sense of aesthetics.
• A keen eye for detail and an understanding of visual hierarchy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellence communication and teamwork skills.
