Principal Grid Connection Engineer – Brisbane

We are seeking an experienced Principal Grid Connection Engineer to join a leading renewable energy developer in Brisbane. This senior technical role will focus on grid connections, transmission systems, and renewable energy integration. Candidates must hold Australian work rights. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available for the right candidate.

Role Overview

The Principal Grid Connection Engineer will:

  • Lead transmission network planning, operations, and system studies
  • Manage generator connection processes, including performance standards, testing, and commissioning
  • Apply modelling tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory
  • Work with renewable and conventional generation technologies, including large-scale batteries
  • Balance technical and commercial considerations throughout project development
  • Support projects through the full lifecycle, from concept to delivery
  • Mentor and guide Engineers and Senior Engineers within the team
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of power system studies and analysis
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven project management experience with successful delivery of complex projects
  • Must have full Australian work rights
