Data Center Engineer/Operator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register customers and manage the exchange of access cards.
  • Escort customers and assist with rack operations (open/close racks in JB1 & JB2).
  • Handle customer material storage and ensure proper documentation.
  • Apply for work permits and loading bay permits as required.
  • Assist with customer equipment installation and removal.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, administrative records, and inventory tracking.
  • Provide 1st-level remote hands support.
  • Handle RRF (Remote Request Form) tasks promptly.
  • Manage delivery and receipt of items within the data centre.
  • Conduct visual inspections inside the data hall and equipment racks.
  • Provide support and maintain presence in the lobby area during VIP visits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Fresh graduate or not more than 2 years of experience of hands-on experience in data center operations and infrastructure management.
  • Basic knowledge in data center technologies, including servers, networking, storage, and power distribution systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
