Role Overview:

·      We are seeking a Data AI Engineer (Contractor) to help design, build, and optimize AI-powered data platforms that enable seamless data discovery, observability, and intelligence across the company. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong backend and AI integration experience who can deliver production-ready solutions with minimal supervision.

·      The contractor will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to the development of data agents, retrieval pipelines, and AI-enhanced features that bring automation and intelligence to company's data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs to support AI-driven data platforms.

·      Integrate LLM APIs into platform workflows to enhance user experience through intelligent automation and natural-language capabilities.

·      Build and orchestrate agentic systems (e.g., using LangGraph) for applications such as data troubleshooting, SQL/code generation, and data Q&A.

·      Develop and optimize vector search and RAG pipelines to improve data retrieval and semantic understanding.

·      Diagnose and resolve performance or reliability issues across complex data systems, ensuring production readiness.

·      Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and AI specialists to deliver high-impact features on tight timelines.

Requirements:

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

·      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

· years of software engineering experience (or equivalent project experience).

·      Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.

·      Solid understanding of RESTful API design, backend architecture, and testing best practices.

·      Experience working with LLMs, vector databases, or RAG pipelines.

·      Proven ability to debug and optimize data systems for performance and reliability.

Nice-to-Have:

·      Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, or other agent frameworks.

·      Experience with data discovery, metadata, or observability platforms.

·      Prior exposure to big data ecosystems (e.g., Trino, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
