We are looking for an AI Engineer who is keen on product development featuring language models and agentic systems for business enterprises. This role involves AI research and development, while also considering good software development practices in realizing the job objectives. Successful candidates would have many opportunities for value-adding and be one of the pioneers in architecting the digital business landscape of this region.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with the latest state-of-the-art LLM and AI agent technologies through research articles and news outlets.
  • Develop, prototype and validate Proof of Concepts (PoC) for automation solutions and products.
  • Develop evaluation strategies to measure the performance and reliability of our solutions/products.
  • Train or fine-tuned language models to meet project requirements.
  • Devise Gen AI products involving but not limited to chatbots, open source SLM, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), agentic frameworks (ie. MCP), and agentic workflows.
  • Improve the company's existing AI solutions by optimizing inference speed and scalability in deployment.
  • Assist in load testing the developed AI solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is highly preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Has experience in programming languages (preferably Python).
  • Great critical thinker. Out-of-the-box approach to a problem.
  • Self-motivated, proactive learner, passionate, and able to pick things up quickly with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative and good communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with FastAPI, LitServe, Flask or any related tools for API development.
  • Experience with Docker for cross-platform deployment and development.
  • Experience with Linux architecture and familiar with Linux command.
  • Experience in using source control / project tracking systems like GitHub and Git.
  • Experience with prompt engineering or in-context learning for language models.
  • Experience with Python packages for data analysis and deep learning like Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  • Experience in using open-source language models / libraries for local models serving via Ollama, HuggingFace, LlamaCpp etc.
  • Experience with the concept and application of vector databases like chromadb, pgvector, qdrant etc.
  • Experience with fine-tuning language models via LoRA, QLoRA, HuggingFace, DeepSpeed or anything related.
  • Familiar with AI agent orchestration libraries such as CrewAI or LangGraph.
