Product Engineer

Your Responsibilities

• Assess the manufacturing feasibility of customer designs and clarify technical details with customers to ensure designs are feasible compared to AT&S capabilities, summarize feasibility check results and optimization items, and gain customer agreement by conducting thorough feasibility studies and using clear communication strategies.
• Distribute information on customer requirements and prepare production information to detect and inform related departments of customer needs and implement customer designs into production by meticulously planning and organizing production data such as panel layouts and SAP input of production flow.
• Technical inputs to Sales to Perform pre-cost calculations via the quotation system (SAP-VC) to support Sales in cost calculations, providing technical input based on customer design to ensure accurate and competitive pricing by analyzing design specifications.
• Provide technical support to external customers on design review and technology development to inform customers of AT&S capabilities and provide technical suggestions, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful ICS design.
• Provide technical support to internal customers (production, quality, sales/OH departments, etc.) to address customer complaints, design reviews, and yield improvements, ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
• Support R&D in the qualification of new materials and processes to ensure new materials and processes are qualified from a PE perspective and implemented based on customer or internal requirements.
• Act as the technical interface between production and external customers regarding technical issues to ensure customer designs are checked and communicated based on production capabilities and internal requirements, achieving agreed-upon implementations in production by coordinating with both parties.
• Need to understand the Customer original specification. Each customer DFM need to be performed by referring to respective customer Original Specification
• Need to look for Cost saving or Cost optimization opportunities in every project. During the DFM phase need to look for best Panel utilization and optimum process route so that we can run the product in the optimum cost and best cycle time.
• Handling of Product / Process correction request (PCR) and Implementation of required changes as per the PCR
• Responsible to run the TFC meeting for every new customer project. It is important to share all the customer requirement during the TFC meeting so that everyone will be aware about the customer requirement.

Your Profile

• Education background: Bachelor's in electronic & communication (E&C), Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, & Industrial Engineering.
• At least 1 years' experience as Product Engineer / NPI Engineer in PCB or Substrate manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• IC Substrate overall process
• CAM basic knowledge
• Good technological knowledge and understanding, working experience in a similar industry
• Good leadership skills
• Team spirit (able to be part of a team and team leader as well)
• Good stress management
• Good communication skills
• Good written and oral English
• APQP and PPAP knowledge
• Project management
• Implement quality thinking by running 8D projects to use quality tools and mind set in finding effective solutions systematically.
• Complete other job assignments from superiors to clearly understand requirements and finish tasks on time, ensuring all responsibilities are met.
