Essential Functions:

Responsible for sourcing and procurement of tooling, chemical and Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) supplies

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Procurement & sourcing: Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for Indirect Purchases. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  2. Procurement Operations & Supply Chain Management: Issue RFQs, analyze supplier quotations and negotiate pricing and prepare monthly Procurement Report
  3. Cost Optimization: Implement cost-reduction strategies through supplier consolidation, alternate sourcing and value engineering.
  4. Supplier & Compliance Management: Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery and cost-effectiveness and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production and Maintenance) to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business / Management or any engineering field. Technical knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in MRO procurement preferably in the electronics  manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools, Excel (Pivot table/Vlook up), Outlook. Familiarisation to MS AX will be an added advantage.
  • Creative problem-solving skill with a sense of urgency and attention to details.
  • Chinese language preferred, as the role requires communication with China-based suppliers.
