VoIP Provisioning & Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • SIP Provisioning & Configuration: Provision and configure SIP trunks, DID numbers, and voce services for customer on our voice core platform (e.g. Dialogic Control switch, Oracle SBC, Ribbon SBC, and Metaswitch etc)

  • Interworking Testing with Customers: Perform interworking test, validate the CDR, and SIP messaging with customers during the interconnection test.

  • General Support & Maintenance: Provide support for troubleshooting of voice issues and assist in implementation of network changes and upgrades during maintenance windows.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in a VoIP/telecom operator environment
  • SIP Knowledge: Solid understanding of the SIP protocol and call flow analysis
  • Protocols: Basic understanding of related protocols like DNS, NTP, TCP/IP networking, Switch and Router (layer 2 & 3)
  • Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g. Python, Bash) for automation of repetitive tasks, SQL database, and VMware cloud.
  • Good communications skills, with the ability to explain technical issue clearly to customer and internal parties
